You’ve Got Questions And We’ve Got Answers
Business insurance can be confusing, so we work hard to make it simple.
How fast can I get a quote?
Ah, yes, the question on every business owner’s mind. We know you’ve got a lot on your plate managing your business, so we know that making this process fast is paramount. Once you complete our brief quote form, our team will typically reach out to you within one business day and provide you with your free quote.
Are you an insurance company? Who underwrites your policies?
Boardwalk is an insurance brokerage specializing in commercial insurance. We get to know you and your business’s needs through our quick online form, and then we handle negotiating with our partners to find the best coverage option for your business. We work closely with leading Canadian insurers and have access to their latest commercial insurance plans.
Can you provide an
Not quite yet! But it is a feature our development team and our insurance partners are hard at work on currently. In the meantime, we’re here to help you find a quote with our dedicated client support team.
Is it possible to speak with a person?
Not too fond of bots, eh? We completely understand. Endless automated telephone systems are another hassle you don’t need to deal with when working with Boardwalk. We’d be more than happy to talk with you about your insurance needs. You can give us a call or message us on social media if that works better for you. We’re also available to meet in person, granted with the current situation going on, virtual or over-the-phone conversations are best.
I already have a policy through a broker, and I’m pretty happy. Why would I change?
If you’ve found something that is working for you, stick with it. But there are problems like improper programming, policy deficiencies, and harmful exclusions that can pop up at the time of a claim, and by that point, you’re paying the price for them. Boardwalk can help you get the right plan for your business’s needs before you experience an unexpected problem.
Are you guys an insurance brokerage or a tech company?
Our investors loved asking that question. Boardwalk is an insurtech company, but our roots are deeply ingrained in insurance. Our founders are directly from the insurance market and have extensive commercial insurance coverage knowledge and experience. Technology is our tool to help deliver superior customer service experiences and change how business owners manage their plans and protect their lives ’ work.
Where are you located?
Our head office is just north of Toronto, Ontario, but we operate and write business across Canada.
We are licensed in the following provinces: Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, and New Brunswick.
I have a claim. Who do I call?
We’re resisting the urge to say ghostbusters right now.
Most policies will have a toll-free number on them to call when you need to submit a claim. You can typically find this number on the first or second page of your policy documents. We also have an internal claims department which could be reached by phone, email or by completing our claims intake form. We will get the ball rolling for you.
